What type of Nerve Pain are you experiencing?

Morton's Neuroma

  • In the early stages, neuroma causes only mild pain around the fourth toe, sometimes accompanied by a burning sensation (heat).
These symptoms are usually more clearly perceived when people wear certain types of shoes.
  • Along with the development of the disease, persistent burning feeling may spread to toe, regardless of the type of shoes people wear.
Patients can also feel as if his feet are in the heart of marbles or pebbles.

Morton’s Neuroma is a benign soft tissue mass that forms on the nerve which runs between the metatarsals and the ball of the foot. When the two metatarsal bones rub together, they squeeze the nerve that runs between them. This repeated squeezing, or repeated injury to the nerve, causes the nerve to swell, and eventually a benign mass occurs at the site of the repeated injury.

Sciatica

  • Pain on one side of the buttock or in one leg that is worse when sitting
  • Burning or tingling down the leg
  • Weakness, numbness or difficulty moving the leg or foot
  • A constant pain on one side of the rear
  • A sharp pain that may make it difficult to stand up or to walk

The term sciatica describes the symptoms of leg pain and possibly tingling, numbness or weakness that originates in the low back and travels through the buttock and down the large sciatic nerve in the back of the leg.

Ulnar Nerve Neuritis

  • Numbness and tingling to the ring and little fingers due to nerve impingement at the elbow level
  • Pain or numbness of the hand in ulnar nerve neuritis

Ulnar nerve neuritis begins with a little bit of tingling in the little and ring fingers especially when placing the elbow on arm rests in cars or on a chair.
