What is Bunion?
A common problem experienced by most of the people due to bony protuberance at the base of the big toe, Bunion is more complicated in comparison simply a bump on the foot. Big toe angles towards the other toes. This condition is called as Hallux Valgus. Bunions are the most common in women and reason behind it is the most often unsuitable footwear.
It is a prominence on the inner side of the foot at the base of the big toe that usually forms for the reason of alignment of the bones of the forefoot. It causes pressure and prominence of the base of the big toe. Moreover, irritation of the soft tissue may also cause swelling and pain.

It is another problem as the big toe may eventually come to lie over and more commonly under the second toe. It may cause irritation at the time of wearing shoes and more pain. Second toe forms a hammertoe, if you have bunions.
